The adventure began in 2001, when Dive Mike first opened its doors as a PADI dive center right in the heart of Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
We are located only a short walk away from the beach, where we embark to reach our local dive sites in just a few minutes. Based along the Riviera Maya, right on the Mesoamerican reef, for scuba diving we offer you a great variety of beautiful Caribbean underwater landscapes, including shallow colorful coral gardens, deeper drift dives, the Mama Viña wreck, the spectacular reefs and walls of Cozumel, and more. Not far from us, in the nearby jungle are the Cenotes. These astonishing fresh water lagoons give us access to countless underwater caves and caverns submerged in crystal-clear waters, which also are a must see for any scuba diver.
Let’s not forget about our seasonal highlights! Between November and March we have the incredible Bull Shark Encounter, where female bull sharks visit the shores of Playa del Carmen and give us the opportunity to dive with them. In summer, from June until September, we have the Whale Shark Experience, where you can swim next to these gentle giants. Both these tours are an experience you will not forget!
Today Dive Mike is a SDI, TDI and PADI dive and instructor development center and an IANTD, and CMAS training center, where on-site credential printing is available. At Dive Mike we all are passionate about scuba diving in any underwater environment and together we have gathered thousands of dives. Whether teaching beginners or conducting deep dives, technical courses or cave diving, we enjoy every dive we do and learn from each course we give, reaffirming that our passion for teaching and diving goes beyond just another job to fulfill.
Our aim is to be a team of scuba instructors trained to the highest level, with the ability to dive and teach within the highest safety standards while making fun and memorable dives or scuba courses. We want to motivate our customers to continue growing their scuba skills through training, so they can find new adventures, do more fun things, and meet new people with the same interests. Today every diver who comes to Dive Mike leaves being a happy and better diver!
